Boise State junior Allie Ostrander won the women's invitational section of the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a collegiate-leading 9:45.66 at the Payton Jordan Invitational at Stanford's Cobb Track and Angell Field in Palo Alto, Calif. Ostrander, who won the 3,000 steeplechase last season at the Stanford Invitational in a personal-best 9:38.57 on her way to a second straight NCAA Division 1 title, ascended to No. 3 in the world this year to hold off New Mexico sophomore Adva Cohen in 9:45.71.
